Penelope STRATTON

Lucy Gordon sa narodila v Anglicku a už od malička netúžila po ničom inom, než byť spisovateľkou. Svoju kariéru začala písaním článkov v jednom britskom magazíne pre ženy, kde získala veľa skúseností – pre magazín spovedala niektoré hviezdy filmového plátna ako je Warren Beatty, Richard Chamberlain alebo Sir Roger Moore.

Jej život však zmenil cez jedne prázdniny trávené v Benátkach. Ako sama autorka na svojich webových stránkach uvádza, jedného dňa si tak relaxuje v kaviarni, keď ju oslovil vysoký, počerný Talian a pozval ju na večeru. Prvá jej reakcia bola príkre odmietnutie toho opovážlivca, ale po jeho uistení, že sa jedná o serióznu ponuku, Lucy súhlasila. No a potom už bolo všetko, ako podľa scenára červenej knižnice – spoločne strávený romantický večer, druhý deň zasnúbenie a o tri mesiace svadba. Rodina a priatelia Lucy sa na jej “neuvážené rozhodnutie” pozerali viac ako skepticky, ale o to väčšie prekvapenie bolo, že manželstvo Lucy a jej “Taliana” trvá dodnes, a to už od svadby uplynulo viac ako 25 rokov.
